An exciting Workshop Controller position has arisen based in Slough. You will be a part of an expanding team in a new dealership. The successful candidate will be responsible for the daily control of the workshop in order to maintain a high level of productivity and quality repair. You will also be responsible for a team of Technicians, motivating, supporting and leading them to drive the business forward.

The role includes:

  • Manage the process of optimising workshop resources to meet agreed departmental budgets
  • Ensure customer requirements are fully understood and communicated in an effective manner to other members of the department
  • Monitor individual and workshop efficiencies to ensure key performance indicators are met
  • To calculate and manage the effective use of the workshop
  • Plan the distribution of work amongst the team utilising available skills mix
  • Identify individual training and development needs
  • Manage liaison between workshop and service reception on customer vehicle progress
  • Manage workshop standards in accordance with HSO requirements
  • Resolve customer issues in line with agreed standards and customer expectations
  • Manage any necessary liaison with department manager regarding customer dissatisfaction
  • Ensure understanding and adherence to the requirements of brand service requirements and customer satisfaction indicators
  • Maintain safe working practices and abide by the working rules and standards
  • Develop own skills and technical knowledge

  • Strong and consistent experience as a Workshop Controller
  • The ability to work to tight deadlines
  • Strive to achieve targets, KPIs and outstanding customer satisfaction
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Good IT and administration skills
  • NVQ 3 is beneficial

What will you be rewarded for in return for your hard work?

  • A basic salary between £25,000 – £28,000 with a potential to earn up to £36,000 OTE
  • Additional company benefits
  • The hours will be 8am – 6pm Monday – Friday and Saturdays on a rota basis between 8am – 12pm
