Below are some facts you may or may not know about Sophie.
Before working at HCP, what was the most unusual or interesting job you’ve ever had?
Before working at HCP I worked at the first ever Grand Prix in Abu Dhabi and it was one of the most interesting positions I have had. I was assisting with the catering team and we were serving the Shiekh. We had to learn the Do’s and Don’ts of how to address them and adhere to their cultural ways. This was very interesting, for example… we had to shake hands with the men only and only with our right hand as it was seen rude and unclean if you did with the left hand. We were also not allowed to even address the women and say hello it would have to be only the men in the room.
If you could switch your job with anyone else within HCP, whose job would you want? And why?
If I could switch my job with anyone within HCP it would be Ash the MD of the company. He started the business for the beginning and has seen it grow to where it is now. He has built some great long term solid relationships with a number of large overseas clients and has had some great opportunities to travel overseas and meet a variety of clients and candidates.
Who has been your favourite client at HCP?
One of my favourite clients is an Audi dealership in Bexley, I have a very good relationship with the Service Manager over there and I can be honest and upfront with him when I am discussing candidates.
Tell us three things most people don’t know about you.
- My biggest hobby growing up from the age of 3 was attending ballet lessons and I gained all my levels and finished at the Royal Academy of Dance in London, however I never pursed my dance career as I decided to go to University.
- I use to be able to speak Greek growing up but the older I got the less I practised
- I am slightly OCD, whereby I have to check lights and electrical items are turned off a number of times before I can convince myself it is ‘really turned off this time’
Choose your Mr. Men/Little Miss, to describe your work personality?
Little Miss Busy – I feel like I am constantly on the go and busy all day, every day.
What is the last joke you recall?
I am not very good with jokes but one my niece constantly repeats to me every time I see her is… Why does the caterpillar eat the leaf? Answer… Because he is hungry!
Would you rather be a tiny elephant or a giant hamster? And why?
I would rather be a Giant Hamster, (in my mind this is like Godzilla size), could you imagine the look on people’s faces?
You’re happiest when?
I am happiest when I see my daughter, there is nothing better than when her face lights up when she sees me.
