Our client is one of Saudi Arabia's leading groups with one of the largest automotive businesses in the region; the company has some ambitious plans for the next few years with new brand acquisitions, additional facilities and the creation of a corporate structure. The Company now seeks to appoint an HR Director, to work with a new senior management team on an ambitious transformation programme, to position it for further success.
The Role
- Review the organisation and resources of the existing services as well as the level of available data
- Work closely with the Board and senior management, to drive improved performance and cascade successful change through the organisation
- Define the organisation, policy statements, resources, procedures, guidance and reporting requirements for the department in consultation with performance Managers, as appropriate, and implement them
- Build the HR team to deliver exceptional performance for the organisation
- Manage and optimise the organisation of the department activities and the use of resources allocated to it, to optimise efficiency
- Develop the training and development program
- Develop an HR Self-Sufficiency Plan in close cooperation with Directors and Managers
- Implement the remuneration policy
- Manage careers and skill development and develop and maintain a positive social climate within the division
- Implement effective recruitment processes in consultation with all relevant departments
The Candidate
- A proven HR Director or senior HR professional who has operated at board level, with a at least ten years experience, in organisations with a strong change agenda
- An excellent communicator with the intellect, commercial nous and hands-on approach to be credible at all levels.
- Automotive experience would be a value added asset, although not essential
- Demonstrable track record of working with a demanding internal customer base in multi-site multi-national organisation
- Ideally Saudi national, although not essential but must be an Arab national
